About the Journal
Focus and Scope
ENSAIOS USF is an electronic journal of the University of São Francisco, dedicated to the publication of scientific articles from different areas of knowledge, organized into five sections:
I. Biological and Health Sciences
II. Exact Sciences, Engineering and Technology
III. Applied Humanities and Social Sciences
IV. Education and Teaching
V. Extension
Articles may be based on diverse studies such as theoretical reflections, reports of theoretical-practical experiences, reports of internships, research results from master's, doctorate or course work, participation in scientific initiation projects, extension and others. It is characterized as a democratic space for the dissemination of knowledge, as it is accessible to all academics, whether they are beginners or experienced in scientific production.
Thus, ENSAIOS USF inspires and welcomes not only undergraduate and graduate faculty and students, but also working professionals, encouraging everyone to publish independently or in co-authorship. The journal's mission is to disseminate knowledge through original scientific articles in order to broaden discussions and debates on topics relevant to both the scientific community and society. ENSAIOS USF is an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary journal. PEER REVIEW and CALL FOR ARTICLES. Published articles are subject to peer review, editorial team members, ad hoc reviewers or consultants. The journal issues a call for articles twice a year. To receive notification of the call, register with the journal as a reader and/or author. Peer Review Process Reviewers are selected by the journal's editors and invited to join the editorial team or act as ad hoc reviewers. They are researchers in the areas of Biological and Health Sciences, Exact Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Humanities and Applied Social Sciences, Education and Teaching, and Extension, with a minimum master's degree. Articles submitted to the journal ENSAIOS USF are forwarded to two reviewers, preferably those who are related to the research focus. The following cases may occur in this evaluation:
1. The text is approved by both reviewers: the text is approved for publication, the authors are notified, and the text goes for final review.
2. The text is rejected by both reviewers: the text is archived, the authors are notified.
3. There are suggestions for changes to the text by one or both reviewers: the text is forwarded to the authors for the requested revisions; when returned, the text goes through an evaluation by the editors, in order to check the changes made. If approved, it is forwarded for review by the editor.
4. The text is not approved, but it is suggested that it be forwarded for a new round of evaluation. Authors are notified and the journal is available to receive a new version of the text.

This journal offers immediate open access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public provides greater global democratization of knowledge.
