A REGULAÇÃO EMOCIONAL COMO MECANISMO DE MUDANÇA PSICOLÓGICA

Resumen

O presente artigo se debruça em torno dos aspectos conceituais e neurobiológicos da habilidade de Regulação Emocional. Diante do fato de que a desregulação emocional está presente em uma ampla classe de transtornos mentais, identificar estratégias de regulação emocional e suas evidências ao nível neurobiológico se tornam aspectos relevantes de serem compreendidos. O objetivo do estudo consiste em identificar as contribuições da regulação emocional como mecanismo de mudança psicológica e suas possíveis implicações para a atividade clínica. Foi realizada revisão bibliográfica, com busca em banco de dados do Periódicos Capes, utilizando os descritores: Emotional Regulation AND conceptual aspects e Emotional Regulation AND neurobiology. O recorte temporal foi de 1994-2022. Como resultados foi possível verificar que a literatura evidencia que estratégias disfuncionais de regulação emocional estão presentes nos transtornos psiquiátricos e que diferenças individuais, como fatores ambientais, de personalidade e o perfil cognitivo podem influenciar na preferência para implementação de estratégias. É possível concluir que a implementação de estratégias de regulação emocional mais sensíveis ao contexto pode influenciar na remissão de sintomas de transtornos psiquiátricos e que mudanças neurais acompanham a mudança psicológica, também há áreas cerebrais que sinalizam a resposta ao tratamento. Ademais, dentre as estratégias, a que possui maiores níveis de evidência é a reavaliação.
